The WAS-NS municipal society is governed by a board elected biennially by the community members. The board is presided over by a non-paid elected chairperson. Matters of policy, acceptance of new persons, the annual budget, etc, are decided on in common by the community members.

In annual elections, the community voted in Rayek Rizek as secretary general replacing Abdessalam Najjar (who did not run for re-election). On the secretariat this year will be Maurice Ben Yishai, Ahmad Hijazi, Eitan Kremer, Dorit Shippin and Hezi Shuster.

It’s springtime in Israel. The almond trees have been in blossom from the beginning of the month, and now the earth is carpeted with yellow and red flowers. During the last weekend of the month, temperatures reached an unseasonal 30 degrees Celsius.
