Deb Reich

Deb Reich is the author of "No More Enemies" (2011), a vibrant anthology of real-life stories and speculative theory elaborating on the idea that, as a template for human social organization, the "enemies paradigm" has long since passed its sell-by date.

Deb has done translation and editing for many years for Wahat al Salam Neve Shalom, notably the English translation of "Israeli and Palestinian Identities in Dialogue: The School for Peace Approach (Rutgers University Press, 2004). Her essays on Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation are widely published on the Internet.

Born and raised in New York and educated at Barnard College (Columbia University), Deb lived for 25 years in the Wadi Ara area of Israel’s coastal plain, between Hadera and Umm al-Fahm, and in recent years has been based mostly in Jerusalem and in Abu Ghosh, a Muslim town in the Jerusalem foothills.
