Completion of Change Agents Course for Up-and-Coming Politicians

Sunday 23 December 2012

On Friday December 21, the School for Peace and its Palestinian partner Tawasul concluded a 21-month course for 50 aspiring young politicians and social change leaders in Israel and Palestine.

At the final meeting of the course, former Israel Minister of Labor and Industry Ran Cohen and former Palestine Minister of Prisoner Affairs Ashraf al-Ajrami, were invited to speak to the group about the current political situation and the ways in which young leaders can influence the future.

Afterwards, Mr. Cohen wrote to us saying: "I want very much to thank you for the opportunity to speak with your students. It was a fascinating experience to see the ease and naturalness with which Jews and Arabs, Israelis and Palestinians warmly took part in a decent discussion in both languages and without special difficulty."

The Change Agents course for Aspiring Politicians was funded by USAID.
