COVID-19: reclosure of the school

In the framework of Israel’s COVID-19 policies, we have just been informed that we must close the school and kindergarten until June 23, because our assistant kindergarten teacher has tested positive for the coronavirus. As far as we know, nobody else at the school has been affected so far, but children who were in direct contact with the teacher will, like her, need to go into isolation for two weeks.

The country’s schools began to reopen about a month ago, and the school year will be extended into July. But a recent resurgence of the pandemic has resulted in the re-closure of schools on a case-by-case basis. Currently more than 130 educational institutions have been similarly closed, with over twenty thousand students and faculty members placed in isolation.

For now. the Primary School is returning to distance learning over the internet.
