Party for the end of the School Year

Children, teachers and parents celebrated together. School projects were exhibited, well-rehearsed performances of drama and music were performed in the classroom or on an outdoor stage, and everyone had the opportunity to take pride in the children’s accomplishments during the school year. The evening was also a fine opportunity for some of the classes to share an iftar meal, as we approach the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

It is always with mixed feelings that we conclude the evening with the graduation of the 6th graders, who now continue on to different middle schools, depending upon where they are living. However, they prepared for us a lovely program that included music, a short play and some circus artistry.

Although most of the teachers and pupils will be continuing for another year, one of our veteran teachers, Yasmin, bids farewell to the school, as she, and we, recently learned that she had been called upon to serve as principal of the St. Joseph’s school in nearby Ramle - a position for which she is certainly well qualified.

The school wishes all the children, teachers and staff a great summer vacation.
