WAS-NS has sometimes found it possible to provide humanitarian aid for medical services, in-kind donations or summer camps for Palestinians living under occupation.
The majority of our projects took place following the outbreak of the second Intifada and many villages faced urgent need. The annual summer camp (described below) continues. Regarding additonal possibilities, please contact us for details.
Every year, we run a one-week summer camp for disadvantaged Palestinian children from the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The children come from refugee camps, villages or towns.
Some past projects have included:
– Treatment of Palestinian children with serious or life-threatening medical conditions in Israeli hospitals.
– Transfer of funding received through our account for specific needs known to a donor (but please inquire with us first).
– Provision of treatment days in Palestinian villages. These were organized on a voluntary basis by WAS-NS members or friends.
