Two WAS-NS residents counted as "most influential activists"

Samah Salaime is listed as one of the top ten activists for her contribution in leading the struggle for gender equality and for ending violence against women in Arab society. Samah founded the association Arab Women at the Center, writes for Local Call/ +972 Magazine and is frequently called on by news media to comment on social issues. In Wahat al-Salam - Neve Shalom, she serves as director of the Communications and Development office.

Amit Kitain was listed by the journal as one of 40 additional notable activists, on account of his role as a social activist for the rights of citizens in peripheral communities. Amit directs the Center for Social Rights in the Negev. He grew up in Wahat al-Salam - Neve Shalom and today serves on the board of its association of educational institutions.
