Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, Virginia visit

On Monday, October 14, a group from the United States, all members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, Central East Region visited the village.

Rita Boulos welcomed and introduced them to the village, its objectives, and the core values that provide the courage to confront the harsh realities of our region. They visited the primary school and the spiritual center. At the art gallery they met with its curator Dyana Shaloufi Rizek. They concluded their visit with a light meal at the Ahlan Cafe. The group members were very interested in the way that Arabs and Jews had chosen to come to share their lives together, and found the ideas behind the village to be much in accord with their own.
