Community Vegetable Garden

Eyal Tamir, who rents an apartment in the village, initiated a community vegetable garden, caring for which has become a popular Saturday morning activity for the residents. We have planted lettuce, maize, beans, tomatoes, strawberries, watermelons, zucchini, fakkous, parsley and more. This Saturday, with the help of Eitan we completed the drip irrigation system and added some trellises for climbers like beans and tomatoes.

Eyal, who is studying agronomy and has experience with garden experience with biodynamic and permaculture methods, lives in the village with his wife Magdalena and young daughter Wynona. He is also our part-time village baker, producing amazing sour dough bread every Friday.
