Mother’s Day Event

An evening in honour of Mother’s Day was organized on March 21 by WASNS member Mai Shbeta. The evening featured music, a reading of the monologue “Flowers are not enough” by (WASNS member and dramatist) Hawla Dibsi, a reading from the Vagina Monologues of Eve Ensler with the participation of veteran Israeli entertainers Rivka Michaeli and Tiki Dayan. A film "One Billion Rising" was shown and there was a sale of Palestinian embroidery ("Threads of Change" by AWC-NA’AM: Arab Women in the Centre).
