• PSCC Activity Report September to June 2014

• Strategy meeting to discuss responses to the current wave of violence

  In order to formulate responses to the current wave of violence and acts of hatred, the School for Peace convened a meeting to which representatives of organizations and movements for human rights, peace and social change were invited.

• Healthy Kids = Healthy School!

  Pupils at our Primary School were taken out of their usual routine, and classrooms, yesterday for Health Day activities. In order to make the children more aware about a variety of health issues, the school invited parents who work in health-related professions to come and give talks to the children. Each class went through a rotation of 5 half-hour talks, moving on to a different classroom for each talk.

• Nakba Day Tour of Lydda (al-Lid / Lod)

• Jitli at the PSCC

  Our Pluralistic Spiritual Community Centre (PSCC) hosted members of the Jitli program last week. As a preparation for their summer camp trip around Israel, a select number of their young councillors were touring the country. Their stay with us consisted of an extended tour of our village, several workshops and a musical performance by a joint Jewish-Arab band.

• Holocaust Remembrance Day 2014

  In remembrance of the Holocaust, the Primary School organised a ceremony, featuring a minute of silence, singing, reading of stories, and a dance.
