Art and sculpture workshop beautifies the Gallery

On Tuesday, October 27 a group of 6 artists worked all day to create some amazing external sculptures for the Art Gallery forecourt. Using for the most part materials found on hand, including the natural wall of limestone laid bare during the construction of the library.

Thanks to artists Ahmad Canaan. Nihad Dabeet. Jamal Hasan. Hicmat Khres. Tom Smaly. Aharon Adani for their marvelous work as well as to Voltaire Shamshoum from WASNS.

Dyana, the gallery curator said of the event, "It was a day that brought us unforgettable gifts and restored faith in continuity."

On Thursday November 12, there will be a similar workshop for painting and mosaic, for the beautifation of the same space. Six artists have been invited.

The gallery forecourt extends the artistic space of the gallery and makes for a stylish entrance that guests can enjoy and in which workshop participants can find inspiration. The area has a lot of natural potential, which we hope to explore further in the days to come.
