Exhibition: Nonviolence Action

Monday 15 October 2018

On October 15, 2018 a new exhibition "Nonviolence Action" opened in the Oasis Art Gallery in Wahat al Salam Neve Shalom.

The exhibition features works by Eitan Altman, Karim Abu Shakra, Dorit Bat Shalom, Hikmat Khress, Dalia Bashan, Shuruq Egbariah, Klil Wexler and Shade Twafra. The Artworks reflect an aesthetic experience that clashes with racism, psychological and intellectual barriers that limit the comprehensive view of humanity and art as it stands.

The opening of the exhibition was coordinated with the convening of the conference, "Beyond Dialogue: Nonviolence and Social Action" which took place in the Fred Segal Peace and Friendship Library, just above the gallery. The artworks therefore helped to enhance the themes and message of the conference itself, and were admired by both local and international participants. From the village, children from the binational primary school were present.

Since the opening, many more visitors have been able to enjoy a guided tour by the Museum curator, Dyana Shaloufi Rizek. The exhibition will continue till December 12. Visits should be coordinated with Dyana.
