New board for the educational association

Saturday 6 November 2021

Following the biennial elections in the association of educational institutions, a new board was voted in.

On October 28, biennial elections were held for the board of the association of educational institutions, which supports the School for Peace, the binational primary school, the kindergarten, the nursery, the Nadi Youth Club, the Pluralistic Spiritual Community Center, the Visitors’ Center and the Communications and Development Office.

Thanks and congratulations were offered to the outgoing board (see the interview with Fatin Abdelhalim), and the association members voted in a new board, which now includes Ariela Bairey Ben Ishay as the chairperson, Nibal Hasnin (who continues from the last board), Neriya Mark, Omri Senderay, Mor Shippin, Omer Schwartz (as representative of the municipal society board) and Sayid Tali.

In addition, an oversight committee of three members was voted in, which includes Eitan Kremer, Rami Manna and Aishe Najjar.

On November 4, the new board sat for their first meeting, so this was an opportunity to photograph them as they begin their term of office.

The lingering effects of the COVID crisis and its impact on funding, as well as continuing tensions between Palestinians and Jews in the country mean that their task will not be an easy one. But with newly appointed directors in the School for Peace and Primary School and staff members who are eager to see new growth and development, they are stepping in at a time of high potential and energy. We wish them success with their mission!
